Buildmate was founded by a renowned entrepreneur known as Mr Charles Nuako in the year 2009. The main objective was to import decorative paints and paint relating materials into Ghana.
In the early stages of the business, Mr Nuako was residing in the UK and managed the business through trusted professionals.
However, influenced by the nature of the construction industry in the country, the company saw an opportunity to extensively and intensively engage into the trend of building and heavy construction chemical solutions.
Today, Buildmate is the leading supplier of construction chemicals such as sealants, waterproofing liquids, waterproofing powders, plasticisers, bonding agents, admixtures, damp proofing chemicals, special construction adhesives, epoxy coatings, technical mortars, insulations among others.
The company kept growing as a business, venturing into other aspects of construction such as electricals, wallpapers, dry wall, security doors, plaster of paris, white cement, special effect paint.
Above all, Buildmate is very particular about quality and ensures all products meet the British standard or CE MARKED.

Since the expansion of the business, Buildmate has become the one stop shop for all building construction needs. Although the company started as a paint supplier, it is now the leader in the sector of building and construction chemicals.
With a supply chain of over 5000 stock keeping units, Buildmate currently has products circulating all over the 16 regions of Ghana. Aside importing building products from European countries, Buildmate, with the help of their partners abroad, has also established its own brand of products. ie; SuperCrown Cellulose Thinners and Euro Plasterboard, Sky Décor Plaster Of Paris, which is today the leading brand within the sector.
Buildmate operates in two showrooms located on the Kojo Thompson Road and Adjabeng Road in Adabraka-Tudu.
